Impact Investing 2022

MMI’s Impact Investing event is aimed to educate students about the rapidly growing impact investing space. The event is focused on developing analytical skills necessary to evaluate investment decisions and providing insights applicable to students’ personal investment journeys.

This year our speakers included:

  • Sabina Curatolo: Partner and Head of Impact of Bridges Australia

  • Rosemary Addis: Founding Managing Partner of Mondiale Impact

  • Arjun Agarwal: Strategy Co-founder and CEO of Inaam

  • Oliver Yates: CEO of Sentient Impact Group

This event was divided into three sections:

1. Introduction

MMI first introduced the fundamentals of impact investing space.

2. Panellist Section

Next came the panel discussion where there were three overarching topics:

  • What is Impact Investing?

  • What are the misconceptions of Impact Investing?

  • Firm’s and/or individual’s experiences with Impact Investing

3. Inaam Case Activity

Finally, we held an informal group case activity to develop key analytical tools students can use in their own investment journeys.

Ultimately, through Impact Investing, we hope to educate and encourage students from all faculties, with or without prior knowledge about the growing impact investing space. From critical insights shared by industry professionals, to a case breakdown hosted by Inaam, this event hopes to inspire students to commence their own impact investing journey.
