Melbourne Microfinance Initiative
The first Microfinance Club in an Australian University.
MMI strives to achieve a significant social impact on students, the University and the community. As such, you will experience numerous opportunities that appeal to knowledge transfer, fieldwork, research and networking.
For this year, we have planned activities that range from talks by industry leaders on microfinance to consulting engagements with NGOs in Cambodia, Vietnam, Ghana and Kenya. And it does not end here; we will also be having research opportunities, BBQs, networking and social gatherings, and much more!
You are now able to connect to ‘PoverUp’, a global network of microfinance clubs based at prestigious Universities such as UPenn, Columbia, and the London School of Economics. With them, we will be celebrating the Global Student Microfinance Day in April.
We hope to see you soon, so we can start making that change we all want to see in the world. Wishing you an inspiring and successful 2012!
