MMI is proud to once again present our most highly anticipated event of the year - the Global Microfinance Case Competition 2019! Attracting students from eight leading universities in Australia and New Zealand, the GMCC is a unique opportunity to compete on the world stage. You’ll be applying your analytical skills and business acumen to solve a live case centred around social impact.

This year, the stakes are as high as ever. Participants are in the running to win a 1st prize of $1000 AND a guaranteed interview with A.T. Kearney for their Summer internship program, so be sure not to miss out on this incredible opportunity.

The key dates are as follows:

25 July: Team registrations open
7 August: Case is released & GMCC Workshop
11 August: Team registrations close
14 August: Case submission deadline
19 August: Campus heats and finals
20 August: Case is released for campus winners
27 August: GMCC National Finals submission deadline
28 August: GMCC Semi-Finals and Grand Final

Please note that the timing and location of workshops for the GMCC will be at the discretion of the participating universities’ organising committees and we are unable to receive applications from non-participating universities.

Access to Consulting with A.T. Kearney

The Melbourne Microfinance Initiative (MMI) returns with our first professional event of Semester 2 - Access to Consulting with A.T. Kearney. This exclusive event gives students the opportunity to participate in a 3-hour consulting workshop hosted by management consulting firm A.T. Kearney.

Participants will receive close mentoring and feedback as they break down a case study centred around a social impact issue - picking up the necessary tools to excel in case competitions, as well as developing essential teamwork and problem solving skills.

With applications for A.T. Kearney's summer internship program opening soon, this is an incredible opportunity to network and discover more about what it takes to be a management consultant at an industry-leading firm.
